Eleanor Thom is a British writer and comic. She studied Film & Theatre at Manchester University and on graduation created the award winning, all female comedy sketch group LADY GARDEN who became Edinburgh Festival favourites and toured the UK circuit extensively, appearing on TV and Radio. In 2013 she wrote and performed the critically acclaimed solo character stand-up show I AM BEV. As an actor she has appeared in ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS (BBC), LIVE AT THE ELECTRIC (BBC) and DRIFTERS (Channel 4).

Eleanor also writes for some of the country’s best known comedians on their live and TV work, and articles for various publications including The Telegraph, Huffington Post and Grazia. In 2018 she was awarded The Royal Society of Authors grant for non-fiction.

Her debut book PRIVATE PARTS - a funny, feminist memoir about what it's really like to live with endometriosis, published by Hodder & Stoughton was released in 2019, with the paperback in spring 2020. The book includes exclusive interviews with Lena Dunham, Paulette Edwards, Emma Barnett and Dame Hilary Mantel. THE OBSERVER described it as “ Funny, honest and inspirational”, it was picked as one of the Best Non-Fiction books of 2019 by both STYLIST and DAZED magazines.
