Eleanor Thom is a British writer and comic. She studied Film & Theatre at Manchester University and on graduation she created the award winning, all female comedy sketch group LADY GARDEN who became Edinburgh Festival favourites and toured the UK circuit extensively, appearing on TV and Radio. In 2013 she wrote and performed the critically acclaimed solo character stand-up show I AM BEV. As an actor she has appeared in ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS (BBC), LIVE AT THE ELECTRIC (BBC) and DRIFTERS (Channel 4). Eleanor also writes for other comedians' on their live and TV work, and articles for various publications. In 2018 she was awarded The Royal Society of Authors grant for non-fiction.

Her debut book PRIVATE PARTS - a funny, feminist memoir about what it's really like to live with endometriosis will be published by Hodder & Stoughton in July 2019. The book will include exclusive interviews with Hilary Mantel and Lena Dunham.

Eleanor is also an artist , big canvas stuff with lashings of paint- some of them are on this very website.
